It’s no secret that the Americana trend has been hot for a good minute now, but when we hit the 2010 (capsule) show earlier this week, it was apparent that the style that harkens back to America’s frontier days isn’t going anywhere. Every designer seemed to have pieces influenced by the USA of yesteryear—denim, shirts, jackets. But one of the most prevalent items was the moccasin-inspired boot.
We can’t say we’d ever rock a traditional pair of moccasins—a shoe made of deerskin or other soft leather, consisting of a sole and sides made of one piece of leather that’s stitched together at the top—but the brands likeQuoddy, Seavees and Redwings all produced dope kicks inspired by the footwear classic.
